Have you heard about this..

That apparently the police officer Derek Chauvin knew George Floyd from previous employment at a night club they both worked security at. According the source there was tension in the relationship.

From what I have seen so far it seems Chauvin is one of those violent, and it sounds more and more, racist types that given the opportunity murder someone he had a disagreement with took that opportunity and abused his power as a police officer. It also explains the look he was displaying while he was learning on Floyd's neck with his hand in/on his pocket as the man complained about breathing... he didn't care... he had a purpose. That's my opinion anyways.

Look at the mess Chauvin has caused to be able to do what he did and it wasn't even official really it was a personal matter by the sounds of it.

 If you have heard of the concept of "forensic architecture" where events are re-built so to speak using all possible data (sound, video, dispatch logs, etc) to give a 3D approximation of what transpired. The New York Times has a "visual investigations" video on YouTube where they sort of did that and it is very telling that something was highly irregular in the way the incident unfolded.
Not just between the victim and the perpetrator (police officer) but also something was terribly wrong in the communication/cooperation (or lack of) between the two sets of police officers on the scene.

Yes, there was something very unusual from the looks of things to me anyways. It looks like Chauvin had a score to settle. He clearly had no concern for the well being of Floyd.

Very true that the bad apples make the whole barrel look bad. Hopefully there will actually be some real reforms and the police force will actually start policing themselves and reporting the bad cops but that might be a long while away yet. The blue wall isn't going to be easy to knockdown.

I haven't heard anything about any retraction (not that I have been keeping up) but that would make a difference if it was saying they didn't know each other at all or there wasn't any tension between them.

 I wonder how many people have been infected with the COVID19 virus while out protesting?

Not that whether this was a personal matter or not means it was any less a Black Lives Matter situation, in fact it likely means it is even more of an abuse of power and position of a white asshole.
