How this classic episode is related to this blog entry is something I had observed of myself.

This past week, I ended up spending four days at the hospital. This was the first time I have ever been admitted, as an adult, overnight, for observation. Without going into details, I was essentially anemic due to the loss of blood. After receiving two units of blood, which made me feel tons better, I had to stay at the VA hospital for further observation.

One of the things I had to do was have my urine measured every time I needed to go. Even alone in the bathroom, I still had to coax my penis out every time I had to go urinate. It just reminded me about the shrinkage episode, which I admit, was kind of amusing. The shrinkage was not attributed to being cold but frightened into its protected shell. That and the combination of low hemoglobin levels were the cause. I certainly learned first hand how valuable it is for people to donate blood. You never know when you are going to need it. I have given in the past but it was the first time I have ever need to receive it myself.

Good news is that I am on the mends but I have been certainly been knocked down to the ground and now slowly getting back up. Since I had missed a lot of classes during my degraded health, I have some catching up on my studies to do. I will be fine. <3

. . . so . . . donating blood can eliminate shrinkage in someone else ?

Now when you put it that way, I believe that it is possible.

Poor, frightened turtle. He needed a woman's touch, I think. I wonder if I could become a turtle whisperer.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Around here, my odds are good but the goods are odd
